Volvo Cars Sri Lanka to launch Volvo Centre in 2016

Colombo, Sri Lanka. Volvo Car Group from Sweden is one of the world’s most progressive, innovative and exciting premium car brands. Today the company announced the appointment of Swedish Cars (Pvt) Ltd., an IWS Holdings company, as the importer and distributor of Volvo’s cars in Sri Lanka. Swedish Cars announced that it is now officially commencing the development of the Volvo Centre Colombo with a completion date set in 2016.

Swedish Cars (Pvt) Ltd. will assume full responsibility for the importation, distribution, sales, marketing, PR and after sales service for Volvo cars in Sri Lanka and will also include the right to appoint dealers and service centres in the country.

The new one-stop facility, on Kandy Road near the Colombo-Katunayake Highway, will cover almost 20,000 square feet when complete, at a cost of US$ 2 million. The newly built Volvo Centre will be the base for Volvo sales, service and merchandise to ensure ideal service levels and convenience to Volvo customers. The Volvo Centre will showcase a six car showroom equipped with a Volvo fitting lounge and customer lounge, providing customers with a unique and engaging Scandinavian experience.

In addition, the Volvo Customer Service Centre will have six service bays in a fully equipped state-of-the-art workshop with access to a Volvo Genuine Parts Warehouse to cater to current and future Volvo owners. All cars sold through the Volvo Centre will be certified with a three year manufacturer’s warranty.
